Join me, Anita Diaz, and my husband Luis on our journey as we relentlessly pursue a deeper relationship with God. We want to offer hope that only comes through experiencing the presence of God through prayer and reading His Word. We want to share our testimony and struggles with people in a hurting world who so desperately need hope. That hope is found in Christ. We are so thankful for His grace and mercy and we want to share that with you. Find hope here!!

"Your Glory"
Well the day has arrived. We are really excited about the release of our first album, "Your Glory," available on itunes.
This is the culmination of almost two years of really hard work. And that is an understatement. We started out with one goal and that was to express our love for Christ, and our hope for others to find Him.
There has been a lot of sacrifice, prayer, and trial and error in this process. I read through the entire Bible for the second time trying to grow closer to God, and I desperately sought His will as I tried to write songs that not only reflect my journey to redemption, but are Biblically sound. There were so many times that I second-guessed the entire project. There were so many dark times when we both wanted to quit. But it never failed--a little glimmer of God's promises would come from nowhere to keep us going.
There are so many different styles on this recording, but that's who we are. We have both had so many different opportunities as musicians, but never one like this. This is truly a reflection of who we are today.
We both feel like God gave us a second chance, and we know there is someone else out there who just needs a little bit of encouragement to trust God to turn around a life that is going in the wrong direction.
There is a new world around us. A world that needs hope. We just want to share that hope in Christ.
All of theses songs are original except for "Blessed Assurance," "Down in the Valley to Pray," and "You Give Me Joy." All of the lyrics to the original songs are on the side bar. The album "Your Glory" is available on itunes, and you can follow the link on the sidebar here and on our facebook page. I added "Be Near Me" to the tunecore player so you can listen here if you want. You can click on this link for itunes:

Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who have been so supportive and encouraging. It is our hope that you find the way to Christ through our offering of praise.
Serving Christ,
Anita and Luis

I'm Yours...
Luis and I are SO excited to release the first single off our upcoming CD, "Your Glory," which will be available soon! "I'm Yours" is now available on itunes, at Amazon and Rhapsody. You can also listen to the whole song on the sidebar here. We wrote this song together, and for that to be first single is really exciting for us.
This has been a long and difficult process from the beginning. We have spent the last year and a half writing, arranging, recording, mixing, then doing it all over again. In order to do that, we have traded or sold all the old gear we had and replaced it with one thing at a time. But God had been amazing, and has provided everything we needed to make this offering for Him.
We have been so blessed that between the two of us we could accomplish every part of this process ourselves thereby making it truly an "Indie" project. Along the way, my 11-year-old developed a serious interest in photography, so all the photos were taken by Miranda Pavey. Mastering was accomplished by Matthew Gray, who also did Hillsong's "God is Able" in English and Spanish.
We were initially inspired to do this project by Darlene Zschech. Her heart for God and for reaching people was so evident when we met her at a conference last year at The Cove, that we knew we had to do our part in using our gifts for Him.
We also appreciate so much the encouragement and prayer we received form Mike Harland, Director of Worship for Lifeway Christian Resources.
We only want to encourage people to know Christ and His incredible sacrifice for us. This project has truly been a sacrifice for us, and for our families, so we dedicate it to our children: Miranda, Evelyn, Ana Maria, Lara and Cristian. We are so excited to give our 5 loaves and 2 fish as an offering to the God who can take it and use it for His glory.
We hope you are blessed!
Love in Christ,
Anita and Luis

How great are You God!
God is amazing!! How He weaves the different threads of our lives into something for His glory, just blows my mind!
It was a year ago that we met Darlene Zschech at the Cove. That conference for worship leaders was so amazing that we came away energized and with new purpose. We knew that we had to dedicate ourselves in total abandonment to service of God. So we started looking for opportunities to serve Him wherever possible. The opportunities came, and we took them.
We also started writing songs about our Christian journey and recording them. Despite a lot of sacrifice to keep the project going, God provided everything we needed along the way. I have often referred to the project as our five loaves and two fish. We started with a laptop and ProTools. Between the two of us we wrote, arranged, recorded every instrument, every vocal then mixed. Then we did it again...over and over. There have been times when we were both so discouraged that we wanted to quit, but somewhere a voice kept telling us that God had a purpose for our songs. So we forged ahead in total and blind faith. Then we started trying the songs out anywhere we could...and God used them.
Fast forward a year later to another conference that has been life-changing for us...Song DISCovery in the Round at Brentwood Baptist in Nashville. We came away knowing that we are not crazy after all!
Our journey is ours. We know that God has given us the tools to accomplish what He wants. We have no desire to chase success as defined by our culture. God will do what He wants with everything we have to offer Him. So we keep working and doing our very best with what He has given us, then watch as He uses it for His glory. We cannot do anything apart from Him, but we can do ALL things through Christ...
So we offer up our five loaves and two fish, and we will make sure those loaves and fish are the absolute best we can offer. That's all we can do. God will do the rest.

Hope...
From Psalm 37:
"Trust in the LORD and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the LORD,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Commit everything you do to the LORD.
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
Be still in the presence of the LORD,
and wait patiently for him to act."
How these words of David inspire me! We have had new energy injected into our project, and we are cleaning up some tracks that need to get out this weekend. We have patiently waited on God to take our five loaves and two fish, and we know He is working! We have enjoyed so much as musicians in the past...great equipment, opportunities, talented people, etc., but we have truly found that being left with an acoustic guitar and a keyboard mean that only God can take that and make something out of it.
We are about ready to go out and take our music and testimony to people, but we sold the last of our old audio gear and are down to three loaves and one fish, lol. God knows what we need to get going, so we wait for Him to act. We know that we have committed everything about this music to Him and to reaching people who so desperately want hope. We trust Him and we wait expectantly:-)

Experience
God's Word sometimes makes us uncomfortable. Being a sinner myself and human, I am all too aware of that. God's Word challenges us to become more and more like Christ. As we grow in our faith, more and more light is shed on the darkness. We grow, we learn. We pass that on. Discipleship.
Wouldn't it be great if we could keep others from making the same mistakes we have made by sharing our experiences with them? Sometimes you can, sometimes not. Sometimes people don't want to hear it. I know because I was one of those people who didn't want to hear it. But thank God, He did not waiver, and His Word did not waiver. I had to make the choice to come back to Him, humbled and broken. I did, and through that, I experienced first-hand how incredible His grace, mercy and forgiveness are. Why? Because I know where He brought me from.
I believe He did that for a reason...and that reason is for me to commit everything I have to Him. That means that I share my experiences with others in hopes of helping them as they go through the same things. And that's why today I can lean on Jesus' words from Matthew 5:
“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way."
Maybe these words will encourage you too. Don't give up. We know that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. How amazing He is:-)
